VVA Pancake Breakfast
Saturday, April 28th, 8:00 AM - 10:30 AM at Founders Hall at Sacred Heart Church in Pinehurst

The Moore County Chapter of the Vietnam Veterans of America (VVA) is holding its annual pancake breakfast on April 28. The breakfast will be held in Founders Hall at Sacred Heart Church in Pinehurst from 8:00 until 10:30 AM. Tickets are available from VVA members, or at the door, for $7.00 each.

Moore County veterans in need and members of the Warrior Transition Battalion from Fort Bragg are the primary recipients of financial aid from VVA. Over 95% of all revenue received from pancake breakfast ticket sales goes directly to support them. Any questions, call Jack Bergquist at 673-3955.

SLW to Host Military Training Exercise
Thursday, June 14th at Lake Auman

The Airborne Special Operations Test Directorate at Fort Bragg plans to use Lake Auman to lead a military test exercise on June 14, 2018, for trained paratroopers to practice jumping from aircraft into the lake or the flat area behind the dam.  The Board was briefed on Tuesday, February 27, 2018.

Learn To Sail Program 2018
Monday, June 18th to Friday, June 22nd, 9-12
The Seven Lakes Sailing Club will conduct its annual Learn-to-Sail program on Lake Auman, June 18-22. All residents of Seven Lakes North, South and West, minimum age of sixteen, are eligible for enrollment.
